The journey to publication is long and riddled with doubt. We spend hours alone at our computers worrying about whether our stories will ever come together and ever be read by anyone other than our moms. The writing life is filled with rejection…lots of rejection. But this journey is a whole lot easier with a flock of friends around you. That’s the Winged Pen story.
The Fellowship of the Winged Pen is a group of 19 writers, many of whom met at WriteOnCon in 2014, some of whom were dragged into the group by one of those folks. We came together to share tips on writing, exchange critiques and support each other through our journey to publication.
In 2016, a handful of us decided to start a blog to share our learnings more broadly. TheWingedPen.com was born!
Along the way, we’ve celebrated our share of successes. Some Pennies have signed with agents, some sold books, some launched their books with starred reviews. Some of us are still happy when an agent responds with a partial request. 😉
